When you think about a setting with a great atmosphere, people who have invested in the experience and delegation to ensure all tasks get done, you may not think about a holiday party with a cupcake truck, ice luge, 35,000 lights outside and 17 trees inside.
In fact, that’s the annual bash that Jennifer A. Borislow, CLU, recently threw at her house, and the 29-year MDRT member and 2012 MDRT President from Methuen, Massachusetts, executed this fun, memorable night with family and friends by incorporating several philosophies from her employee benefits practice. With help from her assistant and two adult daughters, Borislow, who makes a priority of embracing the Whole Person concept and putting family first, oversaw the menu, the decorations and the logistics of transporting some 80 of her kids’ friends on a bus from Boston to her house.
“It’s like our business,” she said. “When we have an exciting project we need to get off the ground, you engage people, and it creates even more excitement.”
All attendees were also encouraged to bring toys that could be given to Toys for Tots, and now Borislow’s family room is full of some 150 toys to donate. Her mind and heart are full of memories of what has become an annual holiday tradition, including happy guests, great food, fun beverages and even a visit from Santa.
Borislow’s already wondering how they can top it next year, which will be tough: Her daughter, Lauren, identified the 2017 installment as #bestholidaypartyever.
