A virtual success: the MDRT Foundation Phonathon

The MDRT Phonathon — an MDRT Foundation fundraising tradition for more than 40 years — adopted a virtual format this year. The two-day event, held March 18 and March 19, brought in more than $75,000.

With the challenges COVID-19 brings to the world, however, the purpose of the calls shifted this year. Instead of dialing for dollars, members started their calls just by checking in to find out how their fellow members are doing.

Fifteen volunteers participated in this virtual Phonathon and reached out to about 1,000 MDRT members. Members were grateful for the connection and the reminder about MDRT resources.

Through generous support from MDRT members and industry partners, the MDRT Foundation’s global grant programs fund nonprofit organizations that build stronger families and communities worldwide. The Foundation has awarded more than $36 million in grants in more than 70 countries since its inception in 1959.

You can give to the MDRT Foundation anywhere or any time.  The Foundation gives more than $1 million to charities around the world. Find out how MDRT members can get a grant for their favorite charity or get involved with the Foundation.
