How AI helps me by working like another assistant

I treat AI as an enhancer to my preparation work when meeting with my clients. So, if I’m about to update my client about his investment portfolio, I can use ChatGPT to find the latest updates about the China equity market, for example, and give me five sources.

So there’s good and bad. The good is you can get a very quick summary with sources. Plus, it feels like you have a second person beside you, like a research assistant, helping you do all this work. The bad is ChatGPT sometimes may not be 100% accurate, so you still need to do your homework and verify for accuracy.

In terms of areas that you’re not really good at, you can use AI to help you with research, design and things like that. For example, I’m not very good with slide design nowadays, and while there are a lot of programs and software out there that you can buy, AI can do it pretty nicely. You provide the content, and it produces a very nice presentation template. We have also used AI to create a social media schedule, so for things like that, it really saves a lot of time and is just like having another assistant.
