One of the many advantages of MDRT is the constant sharing of ideas among members. These are some of their favorites:
Generational differences
“Sales can be lost when we fail to effectively communicate with a prospect or client from another generation. To grow in our businesses, we need to learn the decision-making habits of prospects and clients of all ages, as well as how to build relationships with them.”
Gift that keeps giving
“An idea whereby a grandparent purchases a single premium immediate annuity for a grandchild. The annuity pays the grandchild a lifetime income, and is set up so that a check for a certain amount is delivered on the grandchild’s birthday each year. I have a client who is in very poor health and whose wife is terminally ill. His annual financial review is soon, and I am going to present the idea to him because I think it will be a wonderful way to provide everlasting gifts to each of his 15 grandchildren.”
Write and record
“Called the Smart Pen by Livescribe, the pen’s technology allows you to record a client meeting while taking notes on special notebook paper. When you tap the pen on your notes at a later date, it plays back audio that is in sync with what you wrote on the page.”
All of these ideas were heard at the 2010 Annual Meeting. Read more here.
